What is the current rate for golf and are any group specials available?

What options do I have for getting around the golf course?
Erin Hills is walking only. We highly recommend utilizing one of our professional caddies (since they earn their living serving our guests, personal caddies are not allowed). You may also decide to carry your own clubs.

Are rental clubs available?
Yes, Erin Hills rents clubs for $65. See our Golf Rates page.

Can I ship my clubs to Erin Hills?
With airlines increasing baggage fees and the inconvenience of carrying clubs to and from the airport, you may ship directly to Erin Hills. Please make sure all items are clearly identified with your name and contact information.

Will Erin Hills ship my clubs home for me?
Erin Hills can ship any items to your requested destination. A credit card will be required to cover the cost.

Will you store my clubs overnight?
Yes, locking and securing your clubs overnight is a complimentary service.

What is the Erin Hills dress code?
“Players shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming. Clothing worn by Guests should be consistent with currently accepted golf fashion.” The management of Erin Hills reserves the right to interpret this regulation. Acceptable golf shirts at Erin Hills must have a collar, either a traditional fold-down, a raised crew neck, or mock turtleneck collar that clearly differentiates it from a tee shirt. No denim of any kind is allowed. Shorts must be Bermuda length. No gym shorts are allowed. No halter-tops are allowed. Metal spikes are not allowed. Cargo shorts, cargo pants or tennis shoes are not preferred. Baseball cap style hats must be worn in the traditional fashion with the bill facing forward.

What are your booking/cancellation policies?
Tee times may be made at anytime for either the 2010 or 2011 golf seasons. Replay rounds may be scheduled at the time of the original booking. Golf and lodging reservations can be made by calling
866-772-4769 and tee times may be made on-line by visiting www.erinhills.com. Golf tee times must be canceled 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of play or a $25/player fee will be charged to the cardholder on file. If weather is an issue, the player may cancel up until their tee time. If weather forces a player off the course, Erin Hills will issue a pro-rated rain check. Guest rooms require a 72 hour cancellation notice or one night will be charged to the cardholder on file.

Can our group play a five-some?
Playing a five-some is a decision for the golf professional staff. Unless your group is the last of the day, this request will be typically declined.

Do you have twilight times available?
Erin Hills’ management believes that our guests should experience the entire golf course, and therefore does not offer twilight tee times.

Does Erin Hills have locker rooms and showers available?
Erin Hills offers a small locker room with complimentary showers and amenities.

I heard your golf course is very challenging to play and walk. What can we expect once out on the golf course?
Glacial deposits, left here over 10,000 years ago, formed the golf course. The contours are never ending, making it a demanding walk. The contours also create the recommended need for a caddie to assist in how to play this links-style course.

How long does it take to play a typical round?
Please plan on a four hour and forty-five minute round of golf.

Does Erin Hills serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
Our Irish Pub is open one hour prior to the first tee time, offering a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu.

Can we bring our own food and beverages onto the course?
Carry-on food and beverages are prohibited. Prior to their start, golfers will be given a complimentary bottle of water.

Do I need a tee time to come out for lunch or dinner?
A tee time is not necessary to visit Erin Hills for lunch or dinner, or to stop by for a drink. The convivial ambience of the Irish Pub welcomes all.

Does Erin Hills offer overnight lodging?
The Erin Hills clubhouse accommodates golfers in seven guest rooms. Four rooms are singles, one room has two beds, and we also have a two-bedroom suite and a four-bedroom suite. Guest cottages will be available in 2011, each with four bedrooms.

If the clubhouse doesn’t have any guest rooms available, where else could we stay in the area?
Hotels may be found in Hartford, Delafield, and Oconomowoc, which are all located within 20 minutes of the golf course.

What kind of private party and meeting space do you have available?
Erin Hills has two small banquet spaces in the clubhouse. Each can accommodate up to 20 for dinner as well as a meeting set-up. In addition, the 1908 Barn is available for larger functions. Where can I find directions to the golf course and what are some travel times from various points of interest?
Our address is 7169 County Road O, Erin, WI, 53027 when using Mapquest. Please see Directions on our website. Erin Hills is located 35 minutes northwest of downtown Milwaukee and 50 minutes from the Milwaukee airport. The golf course is 2 hours from O’Hare (Chicago), 1 hour east of Madison, and 70 minutes southwest of Kohler.

What local airport are nearby?
Waukesha Airport (KUES), located 25 minutes from Erin Hills, has a 5848’ runway. Hartford Airport (HXF), located 15 minutes from Erin Hills, has a 3,000’ runway. General Mitchell International Airport (MKE), is located 50 minutes from Erin Hills and is serviced by most major airlines.

What transportation services are available from the airports?
Staff at Erin Hills is able to arrange transportation to / from any of the major airports and area hotels. There are also several rental car companies offered at Mitchell International and Waukesha airports.

Are there any other golf courses in the Erin Hills area that you would recommend I play?
Washington County, an Arthur Hills championship design, is located 10 minutes from Erin Hills.

What Championships has Erin Hills hosted and what do you anticipate for the future?
Erin Hills played proud host to the 2008 Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship, conducted by the USGA. Tiffany Jo of California won this event after previously capturing her first WAPL Championship in 2006. In 2011, Erin Hills will be most honored to host the oldest and most prestigious amateur event in the world, the United States Amateur Championship.

Who owns Erin Hills?
Andy Ziegler of Milwaukee, the Founding Partner and Executive Chairman of Artisan Partners Limited Partnership, purchased Erin Hills in October of 2009.

Do you offer memberships?
Erin Hills is a daily fee destination golf course. There are no memberships available.

What did the recent renovation projects at Erin Hills involve and how has this affected the condition of the course?
When Erin Hills closed in early October 2009, hole number 10 was changed from a par five to a dramatic par four, with a new green built. Several bunkers were added on this hole, while others were eliminated throughout the course. During the winter, many of the trees on the property were removed to create more stunning vistas of the natural land and bunkers. The golf course is walking only, allowing for the course conditions to be better than ever.
